Coffee, Card, and Cake; A Tarot Blog: The Moon, Reversed

The cake I have gotten today is the Strawberry Shortcake. It was fantastic.

And your card for today is the Moon reversed, which according to the “official” meaning from the Rider-Waite interpretation means; “instability, inconstancy, silence, lesser degrees of deception and error.”

This is a great card because it stands as a prequel to the clarity that follows confusion. In many ways, it represents confusion.

The Moon upright is the card of calumny. When the moon is reversed, it is the card of acting out of confusion. The lesser degrees of deception and error are done out of fear and not malice. Be forgiving of your emotions today. Trust that even your errors today are still in line with the will of God, the will of the Universe.

Any instability will be cleared up soon. Any inconsistencies will shine a light on the truth.

And silence will be necessary to dissociate and experience the passing of these things.

Be gentle with yourself today. It is a good day, and all good days will hold tough lessons.
