Living in New York City is wild because you see the people who go priced out of New York City when you leave. And I don’t mean when you leave Manhattan. Because as long as you’re in the five boroughs, you’re connected. If you have a train or bus stop in the five boroughs, you’re good. What I’m referring to is the people who get priced out into Newark.
If you go to Newark, New Jersey, by accident, and you have to get back to New York City by bus, as once happened to me. You will quickly learn that people who move from NYC to Newark, are people who get face tattoos. People who live and ride public transit in NYC don’t have face tattoos on average. But people who ride public transit in Newark, NJ, have face tattoos on average.
They should make a documentary on this phenomenon for school children to show them the dangers of getting a face tattoo. You end up riding a bus in Newark, NJ, instead of NYC.
