I have a buddy named Nic who lives in the Lower East Side of New York City. He was born and raised in affordable housing in that area.
He’s a Puerto Rican man who constantly brags about the Puerto Rican community of the Lower East Side, of which he and his ancestors are long representatives.
Yesterday, when I saw him, I asked him who he voted for. And he sheepishly told me, Trump.
I couldn’t believe it and asked him why.
He said, “I work as a waiter, and I like Trump’s ‘No Tax on Tips’.”
I think, especially in this election, that people are single-issue voters.
That issue is their wallet.
That’s why Trump won. People believe he truly is more concerned about their wallets being fat than Kamala was.
