The Language of The Mystics

The philosopher Meister Echart said, “Theologians may quarrel, but the mystics of the world speak the same language.”

I believe in God and that folks who adhere to a specific religion as the “truth” are crazy. Because I never understood why just believing in God isn’t enough.

The only truth I believe in regarding God is that there is one God. I believe that God is so powerful that the truth from that God can manifest itself in different ways for different people to create a larger tapestry of truth.

A lot of life seems contradictory from our point of view. But from God’s point of view, all things complement each other.

The first time I ever had a mystical experience was at a catholic charismatic conference as a kid.

I went into a state of extreme crying, with a joyful feeling of being one with the universe. I would not experience similar effects until using large dosages of shrooms as an adult.

But in that moment of a religious experience at a catholic charismatic conference, I didn’t think, oh my god, Catholicism is real. But I rather simply thought, holy shit, God is real. There is something on the back end I can tap into, and religions can provide the guidance and gateways for transcendental states.
